I have a Melling oil pump on my built LS3 in my 2001 camaro. Is there any chance it would make a supercharger whine like sound. I can't figure it out. I pulled all the belts and noise is still there.

Bad timing chain perhaps?

Did you just put the timing set in? Double roller chain with an in shimmed oil pump would rub the bsck of the pump and probably make lots of noise.

I am using a LS7 cam gear (4x) and a LS3 timing chain along with a LS2 chain damper I got from SDPC for my engine.

Just finished chasing whining noise that ended up being Melling Oil Pump. We thought it was a throw out bearing or pilot shaft bearing, so we pulled the transmission and clutch. (LQ4 and T56) Found no problems. Put it all back together and still had noise. The pump is supposed to be centered, but this one was rubbing on the crank. As the motor warmed up, the parts would expand and it would get slightly louder. We centered the pump with a feeler gauge and the noise was gone. Nothing mechanicaly wrong with the pump, just not installed correctly. 14 labor hours chasing it though.
