Should I replace it with MLS? I want whichever gasket is best for my FI application. Also, is the compressed thickness the same as the graphite? I would rather not change the other side if I don't need to.

I think the graphites are around .060 compressed and the MLS are like .052. I would say for FI the LS9 head gasket would be a solid choice pending they make it in your bore size. The head should go to the machine shop for a flatness mill before installing an MLS gasket IMO.

graphite headgaskets are around .053
