Default wanting to rebuild my high milage ls1

My 98 ls1 is nearing 180k miles and i think its time for an overhaul. i already have a built 4l60 with a 4k stall, 1 7/8s headers and a fast 102/102. ive been wanting do heads/cam for a while now but because of the mileage i havent. i want to build a bottom end thats gonna last alot of miles again and maybe take a few good hits on a bottle. besides just rings and bearings what all do you guys think i need to insure that my set up is gonna be realiable and last a fair amount of time? should i invest in new rods, pistons or crank?

If you really want to you can, depends on your budget. Basic would be to have the block rehoned, crank turned, new rod/main/cam bearings and rod bolts. Or you can upgrade the rods/pistons. The crank does not need to be upgraded until you reach 1100 crank hp
