How Far? Looking to building a 402 stroker(preferably)how far can you actually go on an ls1 bore wise?would it be worth boring the ls1 to a 402 is it even possible?or would it be worth while doing an iron or ls2?any tips/opinions wanted please.

A 402 stroker typically requires at least 4.005" bore. That's way too much to do with a standard LS1 block. You'd have to resleeve it. If you are set to build a LS1 without sleeving it, you'll want to go with a 383 stroker kit.
