Default Are my goals to high?

Hello everyone, I know you guys get tired of hearing this but i would like some opinions on my top end build. I would like to reach 500rwhp as a goal. Will the bottom end take that much power? Will the transmission take it? I have read the So You Wanna Be Fast thread and i think this is a pretty good setup.
Here is my parts list...

TSP MS3 camshaft
Comp Cams ultra gold rocker arms
Comp Cams pro magnum pushrods
Comp Cams roller lifters
LS2 double roller timing chain
AFR 74cc chamber heads
FAST 42lbs injectors
NX high pressure fuel pump
Kooks stainless LT headers
FAST 102mm throttle body
FAST 102mm intake manifold
SLP intake lid

Is the 102mm throttle body worth it or is a 92mm just as good?
Thanks for any input.

500rwhp is no walk in the park, but can be done with the right combination of parts. Why the 74cc heads and MS3 cam? The 102 isn't going to hurt your goal along with a lightweight clutch/wheel and you want 1.875" headers with no cats/cutouts or a very free flowing exhaust as well as an underdrive pulley. Feel free to contact me for a quote. Chris, 817-750-2000

Well i am not dead set on an MS3 cam i think i will end up talking to texas speed to get a custom grind cam. I am looking at a monster stage 3 or 4 and i am leaning more toward the level 4. Does an underdrive pulley really do much?

Every little bit helps, the UDP is worth ~8rwhp. The Level 3 would be more than enough to hold that power and the 4 is meant for more track oriented vehicles. The MS4 would take better advantage of the aftermarket heads, but a custom cam could be even better.

added my 2 cents. but 500 rwhp with a 346 N/A engine is gonne be hard. I would just spray it and be in the 500+ rwhp mark for sure

So maybe AFR heads with a 64cc chamber would work better? And what about an ASP underdrive pulley would help and i would like to avoid spray due to the the fact that the bottle goes empty so does your power

Honestly to get 500whp or close. mill them to like 59-60cc and flycut. I would not plan on hitting 500whp its to high a goal to set. 470-480 is more realistic. But that combo will make some nasty numbers for sure. Not saying you wont make more but 500whp setups are usually planned out to the T with all parts working together to make the magic number.

What he said.
I'd recommend AFR 215 heads to get you closer to your target.
A custom spec cam would be a better choice. I'd suggest FTP104 for your build and the 1 7/8" headers will help a lot. Get your 102 FAST intake ported by Tony Mamo at AFR.

You'd most probably need to flycut your pistons and you will defenitely need a good tuner. 500rwhp is not as hard as it used to be on stock bottom end LS1 but still, it's not that easy to reach.

Youll need bigger than an ms4 for 500 rwhp

ms3 would work just fine, but id do afr heads milled to 62cc or 59cc,and fast 90 combo would be plenty.

Thanks for all the input. I am just curious does flycutting really help much? And will my bottom end take it and will the stock trans take it. But i am not going to spray just for the fact that i gotta fill the bottle up again and again were as if i leave it all motor i have it when ever i want. Has anyone ever attemped a goal like this with just top end and a cam. If so i would like to hear your setup even if you are just close to the 500 mark

You want to maximize DCR and to do that may require flycutting depending on what cam you go with.

op dont shoot for a number, listen it really depends on your budget and how you wanna go about things, 500 rwhp is no walk in the park going n/a, but cam and spray will hit it easy. imo i would have pat g spec you a cam and get heads to match, top it off with a fast intake and i think you wil be very happy with the power, and you can always throw a small shot on there to reach your goals, imo never have a goal set as a number, a ET is a much better game plan, you want to build a fast car not a dyno queen

dyno number's dont mean squat. You should shoot for a 1/4 trap speed or time. You might meet your goal on one dyno and slightly miss it on another.
