Removing gas from gas tank?
I just reinstalled my motor after some fairly heavy damage due to a broken timing chain (stock chain). Heads freshened up, all the valves were bent and a new cam. Since the car has been sitting for 10 months I want to drain the gas from tank.
I just tried to pump the gas out but I couldn't feed the pipe into the tank. Seemed like there was an obstruction. Does anyone know how to work around it? Is there a better way to empty the tank?
Thanks

I went through the same type of deal. Just wound up putting in some gas treatment, and diluting the old gas with good new gas. Then ran it out with no WOT blasts....No problems w/ 11.5:1 compression and 7 month old gas...
You'll be fine, don't waste your time trying to suck it out...
