Default 5.7 S2 Heads

I believe I have decided on this style of heads. I will be upgrading to either a TSP 228R or a FSM F10. Since I have a 98, I thought I would just get this style since the flow numbers are usually about the same for these compared to 5.3's, and the difference in compression being able to be made up in milling somewhat. Right now, as usual, I have it down to PP, AS, and TEA. I know right now that TEA has there heads on a GP at 1300 or 1420 I believe depending on springs, PP are 900 over at Pace or a 999 at TSP, and I don't know the price on the AS's. The TEA's flow a little over 300 at 600 while the Patriots are around 295. I emailed AS for their numbers and am waiting on them. I have thought about going with the PP since I can get the complete cam package and save a good chunk of money, but how much more under the curve would a FMS cam and AS or TEA heads give me?

i would think minimal if your talking about 10 cfm at a given range difference for the $500 you'd end up saving go buy yourself an ls6 intake and some 3.73's or 4.10s

That is what I am thinking. I would be adding an LS6 intake, ported tb from one of the sponsors, and maybe gears. I'm not going to say anything bad about TEA or AS, there numbers and prices are great, but I am not out for every last drop of power so am willing to sacrfice 5-10 hp throughout to save 3-500 dollars. I want to be close to their numbers, and am trying to see if PP bring me to that.

Here are TEA's from a random sample posted at my request:

Lift Intake Exhaust
.100" 70 55
.200" 141 115
.300" 200 172
.400" 250 227
.500" 281 257
.550" 293 265
.600" 300 270

Here is off of PP website:

.100 .200 .300 .400 .500 .550 .600
67 133 194 242 274 290 296 =intake
61 108 147 183 205 213 220 =exhaust

That exhaust number is way different throughout, anyone know why? Is that through a pipe? Has anyone seen TEA heads flowed personally?

i believe they are both through a pipe but dunno how or why TEA's #'s are so good on the exhaust side...also doed TEA or AS do perimeter bolt heads or would they need yours first to work them and send them back? And I'd assume they wouldnt take perim's as a core.

I hadn't thought of that.
