Default really need some help read evrything i could before posting again

i have a 2001 silverado 6.0 4x4 it has a spun a main bearing crankshaft is going to machine shop tomorrow to be turned .010 for the bearing took most of the abuse if i turn the crankshaft .010 of inch just using whole numbers for math and my orignal main journal diameter was 2.75 and i turn the crankshaft .010 it should bring my new main journal diameter to 2.65 now do i use an underiszed bearing from what i have read use this bearing anytime the crankshaft is machined because you are taking material away and the tolerance is becoming larger the add material to the back of the bearing

please help me understand for i am going to order bearings tomorow at work cause the crank will be done this weekend any advise gretaly helps me please and thank you

2.75 - .010 is 2.74 not 2.65. When you order the bearings, just tell them the crank has been turned .010.

Under sized bearing has more material on the inside radius making the small hole smaller (this is the type you need), over sized bearing has more material on the outside of it so it can fit a larger hole (say you had to have the block align bored)
