Default Anybody know if 2008 Tahoe coils and brackets will work on a 1998 LS1?

So I got these coils as a package for free when I bought the heads and the guy told me that the coils were from a 2008 tahoe and being that my camaro was a 98 it originally had perimeter bolt valve covers. He also gave me the center bolt vlave covers for free with brackets that belonged to an 08 tahoe as well are all the centerbolt valve covers the same or are they different. Please someone help me? If not does anybody know anybody who can sell me bracket and coils from a 99 or newer ls1?

No the center bolt coils are the same basics coil as the the ones you have...you can't use the valve covers now, but save them in case you ever do a head swap you will need them bc the perimeter valve covers only work with 98...but the Tahoe coils should be able to swapped directly with your coils if you want

You would just have to mount the Tahoe coils on your permitted valve cover brackets...but if I remember on my 98 there was no bracket, the coils bolt directly to the valve covers themselves

Per his previous threads he is installing 799 heads with centerbolt covers.

Im not sure if the newer coils work but i know the old 4.8/5.3/6.0 coils would.

i didnt realize he had the 799 heads, but thats cool then you will be able to use the brackets and the coils...the coils havent changed geometry/plug wise between gen 3 and 4...so you are in good shape man bc its always nice to have backup coils!

Hope you got the coil harness too. You'll need that. Your old one will be different on the coil ends.
