Default PRC 237cc or LS3 small port heads for 408

ok so i am trying to decide between an LS2 top end for my future 408, or an LS3 top end for it. the two heads that i am debating between is the PRC 237cc LS2 heads and the PRC small port LS3 250cc heads. here are the two links

LS3 heads 250cc
http://texas-speed.com/p-3200-prc-af...der-heads.aspx

LS2 heads 237cc
http://texas-speed.com/p-1171-prc-23...der-heads.aspx

the flow numbers are similar till you get into the .650 range which i will never see with the cam i want to run.

the reason i am leaning towards the LS2 heads is that i already have some Yella Terra 1.7 roller rockers, Ported FAST 92/92 combo, and valve covers that are comparable with the LS2 head (not sure if LS1 covers fit LS3 heads). so right there i will save $1500 or more from going to an LS3 type FAST and offset intake Yella Terra rockers. so question is are the LS3 heads here (or any other closely priced LS3 heads) gonna give me enough power to balance out the cost of the new intake and roller rockers?

It's dangerous to run 30 over on the ls2 block...if you only go 10 over (preferred) or 20 over (factory device limit) you will still have either a 402 or 405 using the 4" stroker crank..

If I were you I would run the ls2 heads so you can avoid having to pay for new intake for the ls3 heads...you can always save up for the ls3 topend and then sell the ls2 heads and fast to recoup some cash

Because you already have the FAST intake, I'd lean towards the cathedral head. If you did not have it already though, those 250cc runner LS3 heads would be great!
