Default LQ9 upgrades to 450-550 fwhp/fwtq

I'm getting ready to install a LQ9/4L65E combo out of an '03 Escalade into my '72 K5 Blazer. I'm looking to get 450-550 hp/tq at the flywheel N/A. What can I do to get this bad boy up to those levels? I need this thing to run on pump gas, be reliable, and be streetable. I'm going to be running headers and a true dual exhaust system and all the smog equipment will be taken off and tuned out, that should help a bit. Is this asking too much? Any ideas are much appreciated.

Thanks
James

Flywheel that should be easy to do with some mods. I think the following will make more than 450-550 hp/tq at the flywheel N/A.

Heads & cam w/intake, headers, underdrive pulley, ported TB & tuning.

TEA is running a special on the 1.25 & 1.5 ported heads. They have several excellent CNC programs tailored to the 6.0 head you have. I would suggest at least their 1.5 porting w/hand touch and ideally TEA's 2.5 porting with hand touch up. Add a nice cam and either an LS6 intake or LSX and you will be well on your way to a very nice gain. Call TEA and talk with Brian. One of the best things about TEA is great customer service and the fact they can tailor the heads specifically for your set up because they offer so many different options.

Other heads to consider IMO are Absolute & MTI S2E

Hey thanks for the info. I'll definitely be giving those guys a call when the time comes. The swap alone is going to tap my $$$ reserves pretty good so I wanted to make sure I could get to the 450 fwhp/fwtq number on a lower budget.
