Default 853 heads to ported 706 heads?

I'm looking at doing a trade for a set of ported 706's. Port work looks good but origin is unknown. No numbers either. Main question is would the head swap be worth it. For awhile now I've been looking at gettin the Asa cam and think these heads might work nicely with the cam. Unfortunately there is not a whole lot of info available on them.

I have a set of 706 heads from an '04 LM7 and they are not perimeter bolt heads. 4 bolts down the center.

I am pretty sure they will fit. Ive read a few posts on people using them on their ls1. But just wondering is it worth the $700 trade...

to be clear, you are trading stock 853 heads + $700 for a set of unknown ported 706's?

A CNC port job will run around $750 I think.

I dont have the heads around to measure the valves. The guy i would be getting them from is a member here and he got them in trade for something else and never installed them.

Sell the N2o system and get the work done by a reputable company. You can find a set of 243's for a decent price, just ship them to AI and call it a day. This way you know what you have, you know it will work, and you know that the company that did the work will stand behind it. Just my .02
