Default Custom Cam People Come Inside!

For those of you who have a custom cam for your ls1. Post up the specs of it, how much hp/tq you made with it, your other mods, what you ran at the track with it, & who made it? I plan on getting a cam soon with some ls6 heads & I'm deciding if I want a custom cam or not. Thanks

Not custom, but off the shelf. In my ls1 I ran a 230/224 .595/.595 112lsa 2,800 rpm stall(felt almost stock with more power everywhere in the stock rpm range) then jumped up to a 238/242 .595/.595 112lsa very lopey, 3,800 stall, and very aggressive at higher rpms pulled hard as hell up to my 6,500 rpm fuel cut.

Seems most heads/cam guys like low 230's duration cams for all around best performance.

I went with a 226/234 on 110 LSA with EPS/LSL lobes. The best pass so far is 7.25 @ 96.53 in the 1/8th - this is 11.37 @ 119 in the 1/4 in my car. If I did it again, I would go 230/234 on 110 LSA.

226/228 .588 .588 114

Hand ported 317s/ls6 intake/exhaust/etc... Budget setup.

7.30s@94.5.. I was barely spinning out of the hole with 1.50-1.53 short times. DA was 2000-2000+ and had a nitrous tune in the car. 3500#

Custom grind is the way to go.

Asking #'s is pointless Because I have seen so many bogus claims & even dyno sheets on here... Same with some guys and their times..... Go drive some cammed cars if you can and hang around the track to see what runs...

HA!

This is why I have videos and timeslips in my signature. I am surprised I do not see more people doing that.

The reason you don't see one in mine is because it has never been on a dyno....honestly I'm kind of afraid to put it on a dyno and be disappointed lol

Pat G spec'd EPS 226/230 .613/.608 113+1 LSA
Unported, Milled 799s
PRC .675 EHT Springs
SLP Lid/MAF
Ported TB
Stock LS6 Intake
SLP L/Ts w/Hi-flows
Magnaflow Catback
Monster Clutch, built T56, Stock 10 Bolt

411rwhp/390rwtq on a Dynapack Dyno.

This is a pretty mild cam, with minimal lope, but is an easy drive, and is pretty torquey all over the place.

Who tuned your car NVR? Or should I say what dyno was used lol....I have damn near the same stuff, and while I wanna be over 400 at wheels I don't quite think I'm there, but maybe it's bc you have a stick car

Synergy Motorsports. They use a dynapak dyno. So the numbers are a little higher then if tuned on a regular wheel dyno like a dyno jet. But the tune is supposed to be more spot on with a dynapak. And Synergy is good at what they do.

227/235 .614/.621 112+2 LSL lobes, PatG specd and ordered thru EPS with Geoff doing final spec. Ran with ported/milled 799s and ported FAST 92. Never dynod, but my tuner estimated around 470rwhp based on its 11.60s 1/4 time with 1.80 60ft. Currently is beating 500rwhp cars with top end swapped into a forged 376, but no new dyno numbers.
