806 cnc ported slp heads good or bad?

Default 806 cnc ported slp heads good or bad?

i recently purchased a set of these heads cheap but i cant find anything on then i have a 2002 ta m6 and i just bought a torquer v2 kit and LTs are these heads worth putting on in place of the stock 241s

Not sure how well they have been machined, but there are several 'gurus' here, including sponsors, who use ported 806 heads, and say they work quite well.

only problem I see is you will have to switch to the old style valve covers with individually mounted coils.

they came with the valve covers so im covered there

your coil packs off your 02 will bolt right on, just have to flip one of them if i remember correctly.

as long as they are ported correctly. a hack job hand port can actually lose flow in the port rather than increase it. so be cautious.

EDIT: I see they are SLP ported heads. if that is the case, you should be good to go for some decent gains. however, just make sure someone didnt market these as SLP heads when they are infact hand ported heads...

Not saying hand porting is a bad thing, you just have to know what you are doing.

Been dealing w/ SLp for years here in NJ and I never remember them porting or selling any other heads then there overpriced ones they purchase from other vendors and rename them....All depends on who ported them....I would just save up for a better set of heads.....
