Default Ms3 and 4 question

What all would I have to do to run an ms3 or 4 cam in a bolt on car?

Thought I read somewhere about fly cutting or having to cut you pistons or do something to your heads?

As long as the cylinder heads haven't been milled on your car no flycutting is required with either the MS3 or MS4.

Supporting mods(valvetrain, full exhaust, ect), tune and atleast 4.11 gears

The MS3/MS4 is designed to clear without fly cutting the pistons

Why does everyone say 411's? I have my stock 342's and it pulls really good.

Your power band will move up in the rpm range tremendously, without 4.10's it will be a turd until about 3500 rpm.

We offer a complete cam package with all the parts needed for the install including springs, cam, pushrods, etc.

What you need mod wise is a good air box, long tube headers, good exhaust system, and some sort of a tune.

If you don't have a tuner nearby we can do a mail order tune for you. We do several mail order tunes a day so making it happen for you won't be a problem at all!

The MS3/MS4 camshafts do not require cutting the pistons. They are as large as we feel comfortable selling for the stock head/piston application.

4.10s will help get the cam into its effective or operating range...for example if you had 2.73 gear and an ms4 you would not like it lol...

That cam on 3.42 gear is a dog, you need at least a 4.10. I run a ms4, I love it, cam just has to be setup right with supporting mods, those cams are not a budget setup what so ever. But they can make for a killer ride at the track. IMO I would go with something a lil smaller if its more a street car

Mods like 1/78 headers, nice heads, duals, fast intake, gears etc will all help a lot, they are Max effort cams that need Max effort parts. IMO I would go custom grind with some heads to match, I don't know what your looking for but think smart, so many people rush into a cam because it sounds cool on YouTube, read up and find what is right for you and your ride. I got the ms4 because I was going for tens with cam and spray

I contacted eps about a cam, yeah I don't want to go real big and from
The numbers I've seen on an ms3 I want my torque to be pretty close to the hp right? I'm not looking to make all the power with just a cam, but I'd still wanna gain 35 to 40, is that too much for cam only? I'm trying to save my money more for rims cause one of my Boyd cottingtons is bent and giving me hell

eps makes great stuff, but the tsp head and cam package is a great deal for a great price, you could even get a cam , find some used 243s and send them to ai, its all in what your looking for and whats in the budget. these cars are pretty easy to get rolling you just have to know what you want, do things right the first time, and plan for mods down the road, fi,spray, etc

hey if you like it more power to you but i put you in the class that gets a big cam and leaves so much on the table, ride in a big cam car with gears and you will agree that stock gears are a no with a big cam, can you live with it yes but i would take a much smaller cam with stock gears than a big cam with stockers, remember i have a ms4 so i know how it is, also i have been in alot of others cars with all kinds of setups, i know what runs good to what runs great
