Default oil ring support rail gaps?

gaped top rings to 0.020", 2nd rings to 0.023" per the JE Piston instructions. it says the oil rail minimum gap is .015". out of the 16 oil ring support rails, 10 of them gap out right out of the box at .028" while the remaining 6 gap out at .016". What the ****. is .028" gap ok for the oil ring support rails? should i gap the other 6 support rails to .028"?

bore is 4.005", street strip motor with 150 shot every now and then.

ok i looked on JE's website and looked up my part number... it looks like the oil support rail rings are cut @ .152" Radial width of cut. the 10 support rings that gap out at .028" all measure out at .152" radial width of cut. the 6 support rings that gap out at .015" all measure out to .143" radial width of cut. So i guess i will have to file the 6 rings to .028" gap (.152" radial width of cut) since its seems that's what the manufacturer set up for this bore size and rings. .028" oil support ring gap it is
