Default 5.3 clearances?

I was just wondering the clearances on a 5.3 truck motor, because I am getting ready to do the heads and cam on my ls1, I am using nitrous and do not have rod bolts or anything. If I blow up my motor can I take the heads and cam and other stuff off and throw it on a 5.3? I am going to be buying tsp 5.3 stage 2.5 heads for the ms3 cam(it's about the same),arp head studs, possibly 1.7 roller rockers and already have a ttp 236/242 cam not sure on the lsa,ls7 lifters, katech c5r timming chain. I am not doing the oil pump just incase I waste the motor. I'm just curious if the PTV would be closer, and if I would have to fly cut. I know everyone says you get greedy with the sauce and would just like to be prepared with a cheap motor so if it blows it will only take a couple hours to throw back together. I know the junk yard 5.3's are good for boost, but how do you guys think it would react to some spray? I would most likely only spray up to a 200 shot. Sorry of I'm posting innthe wrong section.

200 shot is pushing it, but If you regap the rings for the juice you should be fine...after seeing a few boosted junkyard motors do stupid numbers without blowing up the quick hit of nitrous shouldn't be any different than 15+ lbs of boost..

Oh yea unless that 5.3 motor has LS miles I'd change the pump, even if it was a low mile ls6 pump off here, you can get them for 50 bucks...anyway nice build goodluck

Boost is a lil easier on an engine because it eases into boost. The juice on the other hand is a fast jolt of horsepower.

No one has answer my question about the clearances yet.
