Default Cam selection

I got the motor out of my car. Im done with the whole racing thing and now im just looking to put it back together. I want the sickest sounding cam on the market. I have 4.30 gears in a 6spd. In everyones opinion what is the choppiest cam out there. without having to do any modifications to compression. Everyones help would be appreciated! and if you have any cams for sale let me know.

Not to be rude or anything but its dumb to buy a camshaft just for sound this is probly why you are not getting response.

Most people buy a cam for the performance. The sound is a nice side benefit.

look into a custom cam. they can be cut to give more lope at idle without having massive cam.

You already have the gearing for the above mentioned cams, so might as well cram the biggest cam in that will still have PtV clearance. Or go conservative and run an ASA cam, safe on valvetrain, mild street manners, and sounds absolutely wicked.

i agree you never ever buy the cam for a sound, with you having the gears that is a good start for going with a big cam, i would go with a eps custom cam, you will get everything you want, my ms4 cam sounds great , but the thing with big cams is it takes lot to get the most out of them, but with 4.30 gears you have a good start, i would really call some sponsers and talk with them , you will get the best info , also what else are you looking for, powerband, how high you want to spin it, is it a track car, driver etc

Gotta agree, a friend of mine has this cam in a mostly stock m6 camaro. Great street manners, amazing torque, and very distinct cam lope. Honestly, probably a better street cam than my torquer v2.
