Default TSP 224R 112 LSA cam w/ P&P 243 heads

I recently picked up a pair of hand ported 243 heads, probably stage 2.5 ish, with yellow springs and stock valves. Im looking at the TSP 224 112 LSA cam to go along with it. Will the yellow springs be okay with this cam and what length pushrods? Im sure ill use a pushrod checker to make sure but it is my daily so if I can order them with a best guess and hopefully what I order is right after checking with pushrod checker, then great thats less downtime.

I will be doing new ported LS6 oil pump, LS7 lifters, timing chain and gears (not sure which one yet), timing cover, gaskets, etc. while im in there.

Anyone got a good idea on how much power ill be putting out based on mods in sig, current motor is from an 02 with the LS6 intake, with the TSP 224R 112 LSA cam and stage 2.5 243's?

Thanks,
Matt

No, ramp rates are too fast. A good set of PAC beehives will be fine tho.

No, you need bee-hives as already stated.

Get your heads benchflowed. A non CNC port head gauging around a stage 2.5 ls6, I dunno but I'm not saying it isn't true. X3 on new springs, the beehives will work well with that camshaft.

$100 or so. Maybe less if you know someone. I'd probably invest in it and see just how well those 243's flow. Worth the cash imo.

keep coming up with more and more questions... will stock rocker arms be ok and how much would a shop charge to install some springs on heads that are off of the car? Also, noticed on TSP site that there is a double spring beehive and a single spring, im assuming yall are talking about the single spring.

Stock rocker arms will work great with this setup, but I do recommend considering the trunion upgrade for them. Either spring kit will work for you, but the standard PAC 1218 .600 lift beehive valve spring kit will be more than adequate for this setup.

I wouldn't waste the $$ having them flowed. You already have them and the cam you plan to run so it really is a moot point. That cam will work with stock or ported heads anyway. I would think it just depends on who ported them as to how much they flow. All CNC porting is a program that has been derived from a hand ported head and that data is transferred to a computer program and then to the cnc machine. That is why you still have variances in flow numbers even with differents sets of heads with same CNC port job.
