Default A couple questions for the experts.

I installed a set of PRC dual valve springs and i used Precision Engine Products retainers and locks. After bolting down a rocker arm i noticed that it was damn near touching the locks but appears to be pushing on the valve still. Is this ok to run this way? The last time i did this i used a different set of springs/locks/retainers and the end of the valve was sticking out more. To me this didn't look right.

Also, i was checking pushrod length since i installed a new set of PRC 2.5 5.3 heads with 62cc chambers and GM Performance MLS gaskets. The pushrods i have been running are 7.400". I tightened down the rocker (in the picture) there is no slack between the rocker and the pushrod and the rocker is firm on the valve without compressing it. Does that mean the 7.400" rods will work?

Definitely not right, I wouldn't run it. Double check everything again. Their was a thread just a few weeks ago and the guys rockers were hitting the retainers. You may need roller rockers.

All of this is becoming a headache at this point....I may just pull the head back off, before it's too late, and put a different spring set on. Or just spend $350 on some roller rockers and hope it works.

Try the old locks and see what happens.

It looks like you might have 10 degree valves with 7 degree locks or vise versa

Those Locks should be sitting lower, they may be the wrong angles
