Default Thoughts on this Thunder Racin Cam?

So Im lookin at a Cam and Spring Combo for my car, I have LTs and LS6 Intake on it with stock heads, lookin for a good streetable cam with a noticable lope and increase in power, it will be tuned afterwords.

Im lookin at this cam, what do you guys think are the pros and cons?
Is it what I am lookin for?

Good cam will work great for the street I think. Last time I ordered through thunder racing it took weeks to get my parts. Over 1200$ in stuff and they wouldn't ship any of it because they were waiting for bolts or some dumb ****. Anyway cam looks good

I would personally go alittle bigger. I have the flowtech street sweeper ht 228 232 614 600 111. It drives really good, very good cam my dyno number and track times in sig.

This cam will be good mild cam with the 853heads.. You might want to look into finding some 243s to free up some all around power. I put there tru torq 2 in a m6 dd, LT's ls6 n stock 243s I picked up for $350.. Awesome cam lots of torque, still gets 20 mpg in town with 3:90 gears.. It's capable of rolling smoke in 3rd also

only issue i have is around here, there are no.. i repeat NO LS cars, its foxbody country. So its easy to be dominant considering everyone has a mustang lol but saying that unless I actually buy some heads out right I wont be replacing mine, I just wanna fun car, more then a stock LS1. I will look into some other options, just thought for 720 bucks for everything is pretty good. I have this drive to reach 400 rwhp, after that i will look into heads and what not.

So this cam seems to be a pretty good setup?

400 rwhp can be made cam only has been done many times but is not likely with the thunder cam your looking at with stock 241 heads. Your gonna have to go bigger to reach your goal imo.

Gotcha, I was lookin in your signature, I see your hp numbers, those are still enough to take down a stock terminator haha, I would be happy with 380-390 as well. Gotta love how you drive something for a few months and its slow all over again, I guess I will never be satisfied. What would be a good cam to hit that 4 mark?

If it was me i would prob call eps. A buddy of mine did a 230 238 eps cam with stock 243s and put down 428hp 400tq. I say that cam with 241s would put down over 400.

The TR224 is a proven cam design. I ran one for a while.

I ran the thunder racing 230-224 in my first car with 5.3 heads loved it. Made 419 at tires, sounded good, never had idle issues and being on a 111lsa had great bottom end. 1.59. Sixty ft.

I just found the one I think you have, the Reverse Split 230/224 .575-.563 111 LSA... Is this the one you would consider? and still keeps it an aggressive yet easy to drive DD?

If you have 853 heads and are staying stock compression ratio....the TR224
will work just fine for ya. Many people who use 228/230/ and 234 duration
cams typically raise their comp. to 10.8 or 11 to 1 to produce more torque
with the added duration.

I have the TR230/224 cam with 111LSA, Patriot stage 2.5 heads milled to 59cc (11:1 compression), Yella Terra roller rockers, 7.425 pushrods, Ls6 intake, 3:42 gears, six speed Dynamax 1 3/4 headers with GHL exhaust. Dyno tune = 395 rwhp. I wanted this cam for the flat torque curve and choppy idle. Rocks a bit at red lights and sounds awesome in my opinion.

I like the TR224 (114) alot.
With a pair of decent heads, LS6 intake, 400+ hp is probable.
