Since Im having trouble selling my shortblock I was condering doing a budget build with L92/ls3 topend. I just want to hear some opinions or feedback to see if its worth it.

Iron block bored out to 4.060
Off-set ground eagle crank to 3.70
6.25 eagle forged rods
Ross 8cc flycut reliefs
Ls7 lifters

Rod length is either a typo for 6.125" or it actually is 6.250" in order to compensate for the ever so slightly stroked crankshaft. 3.622" to 3.7" stroke. Sounds like a good plan for a nice 383cu.in.

I would assume it is a typo because a 6.125 rod will clear a 4 inch crank, no reason to have any more on less a stroke.

You're correct the shortblock is a Lq4 383ci. I bought the shortblock from a guy who had his buddies shop build it. Its pretty much a guinea pig motor
