Default What timing chain and oil pump

I am about to start re assembling my motor which consist of a stock 5.7, ported and oversized valve 5.3 heads, a custom spec cam and was wondering what timing chain I should use along with which oil pump. I've heard that the ls2 chain has a little more slack than stock.

What about an aftermarket single roller? They usually come with an adjustable gear to advance or retard the cam timing if you want to adjust the power curve a little. That and a nice Melling 10296 should be more than adequate.

Im running a double roller along with the SLP pump and love the setup personally. A lot of people say its over kill, but after spending all the money on a new engine. I personally like the insurance of a double chain.

I'm going with GM LS2 with my H/C rebuild. Theres some good info if you search a bit, but what I remember is that the stock piece is quality. Then its your decision if you wanna go with extra piece of mind, unless you wanna rev around 7K+ 50X a day..then you should go with something beefier.
