Default Scorpion's or Yellaterra's?

I'm planning on getting a set of rockers in the next day or so and I am thinking of getting either Scorpion's or Yellaterra's. I was planning on going with the TY's, but have being hearing alot negative things about them lately.

Please give me some of your thoughts on which you guys would use and why?

For what reason would you need to change out the stock ones?

I changed the stock ones several years back to SLP(comp) 1.85's, but I dont want to use them with my new cam (230/234 .600/.612 113LSA +1).

alot of poeple here are using the stock rockers with the comp trunion bearing upgrade because they are lighter and seem to be stronger than the aftermarket rockers you listed. some guys claim to have lost about 10hp switching to aluminum roller rockers. it's not like you are running a cam with crazy lift so you may want to consider this as an option. personally i would not use either of those do to the failure rate seen on tech. in my old builds (not LS motors) i have always used the comp ultra-gold rockers and have not had one fail yet. now i'm not saying that they won't or couldn't fail but that is just the experience i have had with them. i also believe that valve lift, ramp rates, spring size and a properly set up valvetrain factor into the life of a rocker arm as well. for me there is just too many bad storries on here about the scorpions and yella terras for me to install those on my motor.

I have heard bad things about Scorpions, but have been running the YT's in my h/c DD for almost 2 years with no issues.

You've got to be kidding, the Scorpions are probably the most notorious for breaking of all time.

I have been using the scorpions for the last year. No issues except I had a bolt back out due to my not cleaning the bore out enough and not using enough loctite. The rockers do not hit anywhere and I haven't seen any signs with fatigue.

Don't forget the stories about scorpions breaking are OLD.

YT had an issue in 2009, and apparently now as well.

I myself will be going with Scorpions on my cam. 229/236 .631.631

Lifetime warranty, made in the USA. That was an easy decision....

Yep I'd pick up a set of stockers and put a trunion upgrade in them. Save some of that $$$.

I personally have harland sharp. I have had no problems with them. I really think that people having issues with rockers are not setting them up right but all the rockers in this thread have had issues at one time or another.

YTs are the best we see and virtually no problems ever. Had several sets of Scorpions break but maybe they are better now. The YT and Scorpion both have great geometry better than the others.

Yep even the stockers have broke. Been running the YT6645s since I upgraded my heads in 2010 & no problems.
