Default MTI Stage 2E HEADS/ TR224 114LSA

My goal is to get 420+ RWHP /400+ RWTQ. I am considering the MTI Stage 2E w/ TR224 114LSA cam. Will this setup be enough for 420+ RWHP /400+ RWTQ. I drive my car daily and in hot/humid Florida. Can I safely increase my compression 1/2 a point?? I am open to suggestions. Thanks

Jimmy

I have the MTI StageIIR heads and hammer cam Heads are milled 30thou also.Sometimes in the heat of summer when I spin it up high Ive heard audible knock. When Im at the track with a little cool down I dont hear it. BTW I dynoed 417 RWHP 404RWTQ. Everybody now says they get 430-440 cam only. They must race at other tracks than I do!

whats are your current dyno numbers? it will be easyer to estimate your numbers if we know where you stand now! if your only putting down 320rwhp chances are 420 may be hard to reach with that cam but if your layin down 340-360 youll probly be close!

so strap that bitch on a dyno!

I haven't Dynoed yet with the headers. I dynoed 330.6 RWHP / 337.8 RWTQ w/Borla/Lid/MAF so I am hoping I am around 350 RWHP w/ the new mods. I will Dyno it April 10th. Thanks

Jimmy, you went with the MTI 2E's then, very good choice.

If you're going 2Es, why not use the X1 cam? It's been consitently 420+ THROUGH CATS!

wouldn't the X1 be a lot more Lopey? It is on a 112LSA.

You can call MTI and ask them if an X1 on a 114 wouldn't push the peak too far up in the rev range. Or, maybe they can custom grind you something according to what you're looking for.
