Default stock ls3 cam in a ls1?

I will be pulling the cam from my car in the next week or so, just wondering if my stock cam could be installed in a ls1? If so what parts would be needed to swap out?

IIRC they use a different number of bolts on the cam gear. I might be wrong but I do not think they will interchange.

I believe the ls1 cam is a 3 bolts design while the ls3 is one.

LS3 cam don't have the cam sensor reluctor at the back of the cam so the only way to make it work is to swap in a 2X LS2 cam sprocket, front cover with cam sensor in it and lengthen the wiring harness for the sensor.

Thanks, definitly not worth it then. I told him he could get a decent used Ls1 setup if he wants.
