Pretty sure Texas Speed sells them if you give them a call, if they don't, they can tell you who does. What are you looking for, and why a solid if you don't mind me asking?

Yup people run them in ls motors, but there is really no need until you get down right insane on a cam....you get more control with a solid lifter, but then you have to keep it adjusted.

Summit's been selling them on E-Bay. I just read a PHR article on a stroker Ford 435" smallblock that (I think?) won the Engine Masters "Street" division. Sorry, no link as PHR's site completely sucks for searching! It was port injected with a throttle body and used a very small solid roller with 228/234° and 0.646/646" lift on a 102° LSA installed on a 98° ICL. Made 538 torque at 2500 (peak of 619 @5100) and peaked with 679 HP at 6400...

I Run te Comp 270LSR solid roller cam 235-240 .642-.646 lift 113lsa cam in my 383 and i use the Morel solid roller lifters that fit in the factory trays, smith bros .116 wall push rods and TD 1.7 shaft rockers and comp 26926 spring setup
i've got 15,000 street miles on my stuff with no issues other than a fluke broken rocker arm but otherwise good stuff and its nice being able to tune with lash loops
if i did sr again i'd get tie bar lifters and a bigger cam lol

yeah if you are going max effort the siolid roller can open the valves much quicker and handle even higher rpm but now after doing it myself i wouldn't again unless it was a race engine
hyd makes more torque, quieter, easier to live with and cheaper

Just curious how much the lash changes from cold to hot?

From what I've read here, with aluminum block and heads it'll open up 0.012" when hot. You'd cold-lash a cam to 0.004" that spec's 0.016 hot lash!

We sell 4 different LS1 solid roller lifters the drop ins from Morel are what we do most and then 3 different link bars at .842 oem size for higher lobe lifts.

Just curious, what would you say constitutes the need for a solid vs hydraulic? Like in my case I'm running a comp cam 255/263 .624/.624 115lsa stroker cam and for now running the ls7 lifters

Usually a lot of lift and or rpm where you need much more spring pressure in general. We still do 95% Hydraulic Roller stuff and I never try and talk someone into a solid as it is more work. Also the solid usually has more low end since the seat timing with lash is less. Solid rollers can be run on teh street but its mostly a race deal if you want to get a lot more out if it.
