Crank Pulley Install Question:
I am in the middle of installing my cam and heads. I am to the point that i am installing my crank pulley, and was wondering if it would hurt anything if instead of using a torque wrench to put the pulley on,that i just use my 1/2" impact and the old balancer bolt to put it into place and then tighten it down with my new bolt.
I've read the ls1howto.com directions but was wondering if doing this would hurt anything.

yep, i just tap around the edge of the pulley with a rubber mallet until it's seated on real nice, and then get the bolt threaded in a little bit and hit it with a big torquer.

i got a longer bolt to get it started on, then i ran it down pretty good with the old bolt. now im going to tighten it with the new bolt. im just nervous about putting this thing together. ive never tore into a car this far before, ive started second guessing myself. i swear i looked at those two dots for 45 min. before i put the timing cover back on just to make sure they were right.
