Am I looking at any issues taking all of my mods and putting them on this small block
So I want to go with a TSP short block and "move over" all my mods from my LS1. I just want to make sure I am not looking at any issues. I'm particularly concerned my 243's might push my compression too high?
This is the short block I'm looking at

Right now I have:
EPS Cam
243 heads
Fast 78 intake
Could I switch everything over? I know the cams are interchangeable but am I looking at too much compression?

You can specify what pistons you want when you buy the motor. That will determine the compression. Everything should work however you would want better heads for that large of a motor. At a minimum I would send your 243 heads to AI to have them ported. Personally I would go with some TFS 235 heads or some other higher flowing aftermarket heads.

You would be better off to send your 243s to TSP and let them assemble the long block after they port them. That way they can get your compression right and you don't have to worry about PVC.

I'd get a set of bigger heads. The 243's are nothing to scoff at when ported but, why not a set LS3 or L92's? I know you can't reuse your intake but, with that many cubes a new bigger intake would only benefit you. But if wanting to keep as cheap as possible, I may have them ported but I'd personally save that money for new heads and intake and run the engine with what ya got for now.
But on topic, just tell TSP whatcha got and they'll put the right pistons in I'm sure, they seem like they've worked on an engine or two before lol
