Exclamation 03 LQ4+Patriot Stage 2 milled 59cc...P to V concerns

*SEARCHED*
I have a 2003 LQ that's going in a Rx7. this will be my DD and im looking cam it with something similar to a 228R.I will be using patriot heads milled to 59cc.
So my question is

What's the biggest cam I cam run with
Non MLS head gasket
Patriot Heads milled to 59cc
7.400 pushrods

Thanks in advance and I welcome any suggestions.

Thanks

That's a hard question to answer. I would think mid 220s would give you safe PTV and low 230s would be cutting it pretty close, as in less then .100 clearance on both valves. That's a loose estimation of course.

Thats not gonna fix it at all lol. All that will do is make a lot of noise. Youre going to have to just measure and flycut if necessary. No way around that unless you go with a smaller cam. You may get away with it. Dont know until you try

Did you buy these heads new? I just wonder why nobody considers this before they go chopping the heads. Its like a viscous cycle. You mill off .035" to get over 11.5-1 compression which causing you to run a big cam to bleed some off, but you cant because of PTV issues which you now have to flycut.

@Badazz-these heads came out of no where for stupid cheap...i couldnt refuse them.Theyre used with about 5k.i knew my CR was going to jump.

i didnt think my cam was going to require flycutting which i wanted to avoid.Im gonna be using Non MLS head gaskets if that makes a difference.

Do you know the dish of your pistons? Your compression may be tolerant to a smaller cam. That way you don't have to flycut.
