Need Help Diagnosing Odd Smell I drove a 01 Z28 with 85,000K stock miles from 1 owner.
about 5 minutes into the drive I start to notice an odd "burning" smell. Doesn't smell like burning gas - maybe burning oil? There is no smell coming from the engine though, only in the car can you smell it.
Is there anyway this may be clogged catalytic converters? There is no white smoke coming from the exhaust, and not white smoke from the engine bay at all. I am stumped.
Any past experience or help would be greatly apprectiated.

sorry man.. being a smart ***.. haha. What can you do to change the smell? can you make it come and go by doing certain things like, using cruise control, vent, defrost, ac on high??? It could be your fan motor.. see if it works on all speeds. also, you could have sucked up some leaves or something into the intake at the botttom of the windshield and its in the motor now...
