Default BT Racing Springs

Can anyone provide feedback on these springs? The price seems too good to be true for both the platinum and max pressure.

I'd like to know as well. Torn between Lunati .660's or Tooley's.

They are on the same level as PRC's. I bought the Colorado Speed some PRC springs and about 15 seconds after I place my order I get a call from one of the guys there saying that they were most likely out. He told me if they were out of PRC that he would send me the BT racing which is what I got. I'm in the process of installing a Thunder Racing RapTR in my car with them right now.

Bumping this thread instead of making my own. Torn between these and the Lunati's.

Lunati's = Tried and True, only downside is tool steel retainers

BT Racing = Unknown, new, no feedback yet. BUT, I know Tooley wouldn't sell ****, either.

So now that these have been released for a bit, let's get some opinions

No "knock" taken. This is what I was aiming for; some unbiased opinion and hopefully some feedback from the field, be it guys running them or those selling them.

New cam is .631 lift. Want to shim to within .050 of coil bind. Don't know which set is better tailored to my application.

The springs I sell are the same ones that we sold at TEA from 2005-2010. After I left in 2010 they went to a different spring vendor. In all of those years, and the years since, the total failure rate is zero, which is an unprecedented record.

The tool steel retainer will last. Ti has a service life.

It depends on who designed your valvetrain. If the lobe was picked with a Lunati spring kit in mind then why use something else.

I have two engines with lunati kits one has almost 9000 miles with no issues and the other is shifted at 7400 has about 28 passes and 400 miles on it with no issues.

After seeing "studderin" post a pic of the retainers on a digital scale, it made me think.

Brian, I'm VERY interested in the chromoly version. That's intriguing about the weight comparison a well.

To my knowledge the BTR steel retainers are the lightest on the market

Patriot Titanium retainer and super 7 locks

BTR Steel retainer and standard locks

Either of my Extreme springs or Platinum springs are better than the standard "Gold" springs also.

Holy ****. So we get the longevity of a steel retainer coupled with the weight savings of titanium, without paying the premium.... Am I missing something here? Wow.

Hey brian, I got mine assembled last week and my machinist said these were the best spings hes ever had in his shop! All set up with .002" total deviation and were within 2# total! awesome stuff.
Also the 7.300" pushrod came out perfect with .045" preload, thanks man!

Wow, thanks Gary, that's a huge compliment! I guess a little quality control goes a long way! Premium USA made components helps a lot too!
