LS7 lifters vs LS1 lifters

This is interesting....I may have LS7 lifters already in my engine. It was produced in the 2006 arena...

Thanks alot guys. The reason i was asking is cause i just built me a 408 stroker for my camaro and i could get a set of LS1 lifters but i see everyone putting LS7 lifters in there motors so was just curious why. I am gonna buy the LS7 lifters anyway just wanted some info. Thanks again

I personally am not sure that the LS7 lifters are stronger than LS1 lifters. At the moment I'm 99% sure I have a trashed LS7 lifter in my Camaro that's making the engine sound like pure hell. Car's currently on a boat from Germany to the USA.
Anyhow, I did a H/C swap 22K miles ago and swapped to the LS7 lifters then. Car ran a lot at 3000+ RPM on the German autobahn and road courses like the Nurburgring, but RPMs never exceeded 6500RPM. That said, if the LS7 lifter was stronger, you'd think they'd last more than 22K miles. Hell, the LS7 has a edline of 7K.... so go figure.
Just my $0.02.
Anyhow, I did a H/C swap 22K miles ago and swapped to the LS7 lifters then. Car ran a lot at 3000+ RPM on the German autobahn and road courses like the Nurburgring, but RPMs never exceeded 6500RPM. I have had my LS7 lifters & my Patriot Gold duals in for 80k miles & still runs just fine. did my H/C swap with the springs/lifters at 100k miles & now rockin 180k miles. Never had a single issue although its close to time for new springs.
