Default Bottom end bolts

Hey I'm putting new bearings in my motor and want to put nice hardware where it's necessary. I'm looking to make between 450-500rwhp. I'm going to go wiith new rod bolts, but I don't know if i want to go with Katech or ARP.. I'm not getting the engine rebalanced as it won't need it, just new bearings and stuff.

That being said, what other hardware should I replace with non-oem parts?
For instance - I'm planning on getting ARP main studs, but can I use oem hardware for the bolts on the sides of the main caps?

Thanks
-Mike

no, alot of people on here know the answer to your questions... its just they are question very commonly asked and answers can be found easily using the search engine. ARP bolts need to have the rods re sized, Katech do not. you can change you main bolts if you want but its not required unless the bolts are damaged.

If you go to ARP main studs, you should have the block align honed - stud clamping force is different from bolts and this is a necessary step.

I would just put in Katech rod bolts and you would be all set. Like said above, no need to replace the main bolts unless they are damaged and you plan on have the engine at the machine shop for work

Yea like they said above unless your bolts are damaged reuse them! No need to spend money on that unless they are bad!
