I don't think they are bad deal. I would go through them before running them though.

Thats about what 243s are worth.

These heads are on eBay all the time. The ones with broken-off bolts are usually a little cheaper, but they look good to me. I've thought about getting a pair but haven't pulled the trigger. If you get some make sure to post pics and info.

+1 on what everyone else has said. I bought a pair of 799's from him and had to remove 2 exhaust bolts, but that was described in the add. Both heads were in great shape and both bolts came right out. Just got the heads back from getting checked out and milled .020" and couldn't be happier. At that price you have to expect to rebuild the heads though. I will be cutting new valve seats, refacing the valves, putting new valve stem seals, new springs, and new retainers to freshen them up. Guides are still in good shape and don't need nurling or replacing. I say go for it.

Great seller !!

I got a aluminum 5.3 short block from him & after getting it machined found one of the ac mounting bosses was cracked & he stood behind it no problem.

I bought my 799s off ebay. Don't remember the seller though.
