Default Cam Install

I started my first cam install yesterday evening and first I have to say..Damn you radiator, crank bolt, and pulley..probably would have been easier with some help..I also got the water pump valve covers and timing chain cover off...Hopefully today I can get the old cam out and new in and start on the valvesprings ..When tightening the rockers do I need to have the valve open, or closed..I really don't understand this part.

Don't drop any of the lifters into the pan when removing the cam. Hope you know about that. Either make sure they're in the lifter trays, or use some dowl rods to hold them up.

For tightening the rockers use this method.

Yeah I know about the lifters and thanks for the diagram..I haven't got to work on it much because of work, but I will try to finish it up today.
