Default Random High Idle Issue

Car: 2001 Trans Am WS6
Mods: MS3, full exhaust, ls6 intake, normal bolt ons

Im chasing a random high idle issue with the car and cant seem to figure it out. When I start the car for the first time of the day (or whenever it coold down all the way between starts) the car starts and runs normal, like it has since the cam. Idles at like 900-1000 rpm. However, when I turn the car off and restart it when it is still warm, the car starts and sets into an idle of 1600-1700 rpm.

Any ideas as to why the car may be behaving like this?

GM periodically updates it's tunes and sends out reflash service bullitens for just such issues . You can go to GM's website and search updates for You're car but if You have a tune You def would'nt want to reflash a stock tune so ?????

Missed the point much?

OP - You may find more answers in the PCM/diagnostics section. Also, have you checked out your idle air valve? I had a similar issue a few years ago and the IAV was getting stuck when hot. I swapped it and cleared it up.

Good luck.
