Buying the biggest cam isnt a cheap way to go fast. Those guys running in the 10's with full bolt on / cammed cars have full suspension, built rear ends and weight red.

Your 3600 converter is a bit tighter than most use for this task (4200-4600)
The first gear advantage of the 4l60 trans will help (3.06 vs 2.48) with your
60ft.....Also since your staying stock compression, cylinder pressure is mucho
important as torque moves weight. Try staying in the 234-240 range for .050"
duration instead of 242-250 like some may suggest. GL2YA

i got a trex an i would do th400,4.30s or .56s gears,28s an a 5k or more stall for a pure strip n/a deal.,but thats me..if spraying i would lower the gear an tighten up the converter...if i was buying a new cam though i would get one done up.

A TRex, the biggest MSx they currently offer, or a custom grind would probably work. As mentioned above a diet would help. And some serious traction.

The trex is considered lazy these days. A custom ground EPS with a lot of compression and a big stall is the way to go
