Default Got the cam picked out. What else do I need?

I'm wanting to get a cam ground from Comp at 228/232 111 LSA +3
I know I'll need new springs, pushrods, and lifters. What else should I consider?
What is a trunion upgrade and should I get one?
It's an M6 with 134k, but it's well maintained. Additional mods listed in sig.

I'd get a new timing chain/gear set, oil pump, the trunion bearing up-grade on the stock rocker arms, new lifter trays, ARP head bolts, head gaskets, a clean-up mill on the heads or also have them ported, Water pump gaskets, front timing cover gasket and crankshaft seal, and at least 36 lb but preferably 42 lb injectors.
Id also get poly motor mounts if you don't already have a set installed.

That sounds like a good cam for street, I think ^^ He nailed already, most likely oil pump and timing chain while your there, Injectors and ported heads are more likely if you can afford them but they are strongly recommended to maximize the power out of it but more important, a tune and a good clutch like an LS7 or a Monster LVL 2 cause if you have the stock one is gonna start failing once you start stepping on it.

I did poly mounts with headers, so that's out of the way. I plan on AI ported 243s and bigger injectors down the line. I'll get the clutch when the time comes (planning on Monster Stage 2). I assumed a tune went without saying.

I'll add new seals/gaskets, etc. Oil pump, lifter trays, and head bolts are all on the list now as well.

Thanks guys!

FYI, keep in mind that your Corsa muffler won't sound the same after the cam.

Good, your valve springs will thank you for keeping the lift under .600"....didn't see the year of your car...I take it you already have an ls6 intake?

I knew it wouldn't sound the same, but do you have any idea as to how it will be affected, aside from volume?

Ya, it's a 2000. I did the LS6 intake swap about a year ago.

I believe the Corsa muffler is designed around the particular sounds emitted through the exhaust from the stock cam valve events. So what sounds good with the stock cam might sound like crap to you after the cam is changed.
I might be totally off base with my analogy, but I don't think so.

I suppose we'll find out. It might come to pass that I have a Corsa to sell in a few months.

Since you said your gunna be taking the heads off now and later down the line you should get some arp head studs instead of having to get new bolts every time.

For a cam swap you will be fine with just dual springs, push rods and a tune.

It should sound a little different at idle and wot. Maybe a tad louder.
