Personally, I'm a huge advocate of keeping the stock rockers. Go to a different rocker when you have an issue to solve.

IMO there are better places to spend your money.

There are lot's of used YT's for sale in the parts section. I saw some for ~$325 shipped. If your going aftermarket rocker, I'd take a look at Comps Pro Mags. They are ~$450 which is about the price of a new YT. I think of this as being one of those mods you do after the main ones are done.

I'm a bit biased towards the Harland Sharps myself

I'm making over 800 rwhp and 1200 ftlbs with a hydraulic cam and yella terra 1.7 rockers. You can consider this info, or base your decison on input from those users making less power with other rockers.

And how much of that 800/1200 is the rockers? Maybe 5-10? You have what, $30K in mods versus this guy with heads and cam?

I'm simply highlighting the integrity of the rockers, which is what he should be concerned with.

Lets not forget though that the aftermarket rockers are a little more of an insurance policy compared to the stock rockers. I am running them with my 228-581 cam and although I could get away with running stockers, I like the added insurance the YT's give me. I know that I am not going to have a rocker fail(99.99% sure) where as with the stockers, there is always that possibility once you swap H/C. And those with bigger cams should also be wary of running stock rockers. Thats my opinion.
