Ls1 camaro motor build
Hello, I am looking to build a motor to put in my camaro to later put a d1 on. My goals for hp is 650-700. Not looking to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Just want a good project to work on over the years haha. I was looking into a lq4 or lq9. Would this be the best motor for my build? And even if it was a good one i dont know what kind of pistons, rods, bearings, or anything to run to get my desired CR of about 9.5:1. Right now I'm focusing on building a bottom end. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!!

I'm running an lq4 block bored and stormed to a 408, one of my friends is running a stock lq4 block in the 9.70's with just a procharger in his f-body.
I'll recomend the lq4, and then put your money into a great forged rotating assy, like a Calais dragonslayer crank, forged I beam for lighter weight or forged H beam for more strength.
I'm running an Eagle crank and H beam rods with Mahle pistons in mine.
Hope I helped!

yeah, im planning on keeping it std bore 370. And probably h beam rods, Thanks man! And do you think the stock crank would be strong enough? I was also wondering how do you know what pistons you need. Like the -2cc stuff. I dont understand what ill need.

Finding a low mile LY6 would be more budget minded. Building one will get very expensive quick!
