Default Ebay heads???

Found these heads on ebay... they have a ported set and an unported set. 699 ported 499 unported - per pair. Looks like they make them themselves (or have someone make them). Anyone know anything about these? Are they likely crap? Compared to the 1200 you normally pay for ported ls2(6) heads this looks like a steal.... too good to be true?

Ever hear the saying "you get what you pay for"?

Well this is exactly that. If you want to try some random dudes $300 CNC program then go ahead, but there's a reason why places like TEA, AI, TSP, WCCH etc. cost what they cost and they have plenty of results online and happy costumers.

I would not trust a possible hackjob of a cut, especially from some random ebay guy. For the right price, I wouldn't mind being the guinea pig for a good standing vendor that might want to try out their hand at CNCing. But a random dude on ebay that's most likely getting stuff from China...no thanks.

Problem is you never know wether your getting a great deal or getting screwed

So they make their own casting, CNC port them, put aftermarket valves in (at least on the intake side)...all for $699? And they flow a few CFM better than stock.

I'll pass.

Check out the PRC Stage 1 LS6 heads for a budget friendly, CNC ported, PROVEN, cylinder head

I just thought it was interesting. I've bought from TS before and I've already seen your heads. I have no doubt they are awesome. But i'm always searching on ebay just to see what pops up and thought this was interesting. At half the price of most ported LS2 I was curious enough to see if anyone knew anything.

I don't think you should say they flow slightly better than stock tho.... they are decent though not as good as yours according to their flow numbers, which could be bullsh*t. I'm not advocating for them, just pointing out the information available and thought it was interesting.....

TSP's stage 1 from their website

Lift Intake Flow Exhaust Flow
.200" 147 cfm 114 cfm
.300" 207 cfm 148 cfm
.400" 255 cfm 187 cfm
.500" 292 cfm 202 cfm
.600" 313 cfm 220 cfm

"EBAY heads" CLAIMED flow numbers
CFM FLOW NUMBERS
LIFT INTAKE EXHAUST
.200 139.0 113.0
.300 201.1 157.6
.400 255.7 183.2
.500 286.1 197.6
.600 291.5 203.3
.650 293.3 206.6

It does seem wicked fishy that they do their own castings and sell them assembled for that cheap. Not to mention the CNC ported flow numbers suck.

For the price they could be a decent deal. Everyone has to start somewhere...when you're a small company starting out rock bottom prices just to get word of mouth isn't all that uncommon.

Not the best flow numbers by any means, but if I were looking at either buying stock 243s for $400 or maybe trying these I would be tempted.

I'm looking at stock 243's and I'm tempted..... mainly because I wouldn't be complelled to do a valve job on a set of used heads which would run what? $200 atleast? IDK if the material is crap though or you don't line up right I think you're sol. Probably not worth the risk of getting an inferior product which will cause you more problems down the road. even if they DO have 100% satisfaction "garaunteeeee"

Im assuming these are a 243 copy. I say that based on the 210cc runners and the d shaped exhaust ports.

PC3017C part # procomp head does not have a 3 angle valve job on the valves ,the valves and hardware are junk. buy them cnc bare and install your own hardware, and have 3 angle done .

At least the ones you've got on eBay USA are a lot cheaper than the exact same procomp pc3017c on eBay Australia - $2000 !!!

Has anyone tried asking the builder of these heads to post some dyno numbers of these heads on an engine over stock? Even a review from one of the people who purchased these would be better than arguing between eachother on if these are worth the $$$ or not. I say give these guys a chance, how else did everyone else start in the first place.

I'm glad you posted you this.... I am a very cheap guy like extremely cheap. I have a 4.8 with a zr1 cam that's boosted 18lbs that makes 744rwhp with heads that only have a 3 angle valve job. Because I couldn't afford ported heads because I am family man with kids. My heads are holding me back.... So this is just what I needed.

So here is the deal folks... I am going to take the bite on these heads. Meaning I am going to buy them for $699.00 hell that a deal.

So I am going to order these heads and pay for rush shipping. I will take pictures and post the dyno graph after installing them. I will do a complete thread for these heads.

That way we'll all know whether to buy these or run from these chinese heads. For $699.00 it's worth finding out and I'll let everyone know what the deal is... personally I am all for affordable performance. Brand loyalty means nothing to me my bank acct is the only thing I am loyal too.

So we're all going to find out within 7days. So subscribe to this thread!

And one other thing... if they turn out to be a piece of crap... I'll just cut one of them open with the band saw at work and post the pics of the insides...measuring the deck thickness etc.

So maybe the you guys can decide if hogging them out more is an option or maybe decking them.

One way or another we're going to find out the truth!

That'll work. Some of us are on a tight budget. If they work decent great. If their junk their junk. Only one way to find out. I look foward to see someone's findings. I saw one post somewhere where someone sent them back. Said the valve job was horrible but I don't remember them being bolted on to anything to see any real use results.
