Stupid question... Can you get fully forged crank, rods, pistons for an every day ls1? I was looking on tsp and I noticed the crank and rods were forged, but it doesn't say anything about the pistons being forged....

yes and yes....you ca have a fully forge DD ls1 depending on how radical you go with the cam, ring gap...etc...that being said those pistons im pretty sure are forge as well...but if you have any doubts, your best bet is to call TSP, so they can stir you the right way.

I am wanting to go with a d1sc procharger in the next year or so is why I'm asking. If I got a fully forged 347 rotating assemply I should be able to run a d1sc procharger with say 12-14lbs of boost reliably right?

If your going to do that for that kit I'd upgrade to the diamond pistons, as they are a stronger forging process.

Ensure your pistons are made for boost, as to decrease compression and correct rings as well. You will be able to run 10-12 psi all day on a built bottom end. Big one is getting rod bolts too. ARP 2000's are proven.

Yes. Also check out Coast High Performance. They carry fully forged LS series rotating assemblies.

You can use either Diamond or WiseCo pistons, both are forged 2618 alloy and just waht you need for boost. Go with steel rings and set up fpr 9.5 SCR and you are good to go.

What heads are you going with for your build? Need to know this as well as cc's to get the piston dome (or dish) right for your build.
