Default got ls6 intake,ordered P&P throttle body

Hey evbody, I was plannin on gettin a few pulls/tuning in next month to get rid of my pesky O² codes, but decided to do some upgrades before she is strapped down.

Car has LT,no cats, hot cam,LM1,fresh rebuild on block/M6,4.11,AC delete. How much HP should I expect to see? And should any more prep be done before tuning? I'm from Illinois so Im thinkin Speed Inc will handling tuning

You will probably get close to the 400 RWHP mark..Anything done to the factory heads during the rebuild, 853s?

400 hp with a hot cam and stock heads is not going to happen.

I got to 390s with my old 01, old man cam 220/220 (close in specs), supporting bolt-ons...The 241 heads on the 01 are slightly better, and for record I said close....

Lol @ old man cam, previous owner chose that cam. I dont think the heads was massaged,I can look over rebuild sheet. I do rememeber reading 93 octane only written on a page inside the dozen or so for the rebuild.... Deck milled?
If I wanted to swap cams, and the hotcam is not that terrible IMO what would be a nice upgrade? Cam swap with engine in is possible right?

Yes, you can swap without needing to yank the motor. Is this car going to be a DD, or more of toy?

This is a toy, when I hear about driveabilty with cams ..what exactly does that mean. This is my first M6/cammed car and I do notice it can be a chore (minor though) in low speed parking lot setting, but I chalked it up to the Spec 3 clutch since my buddies stock Z28/M6 is more tolerable.

With regard to driveability...Big cams(TRex, Polluter, MS4 etc) with a lot of overlap tend to need more fine tuning to make them more drivable. A big cam with a poor tune, or no tune will buck and surge, stall the engine at low rpms (under 1800). A tuner worth his salt can usually make even the donkey dick cams ok at lower speeds/rpms. Keep in mind while they can be made drivable, a bigger stick (230+ duration, 600+ lift) is going to be tougher on the valve train, more wear on lifters, springs, rockers etc...You might just see if you are happy once the LS6 intake is on and the car is tuned, if not, there are plenty great cam choices that are not max effort.
