Default Blew my motor last night, broken crank?

Sputtered for a second in 3rd gear, lifted and the engine died, smoke everywhere. Pull off the track and popped the hood, oil visible on both headers as the go under the car. Dont see any holes in the block. Tried to see if it would crank, fired right up but had the loudest knock and most violent vibration ive seen so shut it back off. Dip stick was stuck and very hard to pull out, got it out and of course metallic debris all over it. Dont see any coolant in the oil. You can grab the crank pulley and turn it over with two hands. Ive never seen anything like this happen.

Setup is ls6 block, arp hardware, manley pistons, dart heads and f14 cam. Only revving to 6500 on the motor and never been sprayed, ab 35k miles on build. Im going to pull it tomorrow and start tearing it down. Has anyone else ever seen or had this happen?

Sounds like the crank is bad, but i am curious to how there is oil on the headers, possibly threw a rod but you didn't see the hole? Take pictures while tearing the motor apart.

It sounds like you may have broken a crank but usualy that doesn't happen on setups as mild as yours. The stock crank will handle a 1000hp.

Yeah i cant really see everything but so far no hole. It didnt oil the track at all and only has a small puddle of oil under the car. Def could not have seen this coming, no warning at all. Car has been super reliable since i bought it. I beat my buddies lambo gallardo earlier in the day on the interstate and must have done too much bragging lol. I will post updates as i tear it down.

Motor isnt quite out yet but there is a nice sized hole in the block on the drivers side near #5 cyl. Just couldnt see it until the car was up in the air. There is also a crack running along side the dipstick tube on the block and a dent in the oil pan. When i took the starter out a chunk of block fell out as well.

got the motor out last night, i can see through the hole in the block that one of the rods is completely gone. On a good note the spark plugs were fine and it looks like the pistons are still there and not damaged on the tops at least so the heads should be good.

Got the heads off. One bent exh valve and one bent int valve. No other damage to heads. Cam got hit by the rods so its toast. Pushrods, rockers, springs and retainers are good. Havent taken the oil pan off yet but i will post pics when i do.
