Mine are sitting on the shelf in the garage right now collecting dust. I was under the impression they would bolt right in. Then after going for the install I found out you need to open up the pushrod holes in the head and also needed custom length pushrods.
I also cut the baffles out of the valve covers and clearanced a few places that looked like they would hit. The cover was close but I never finished the install to see if it was going to require a spacer.

I had re-installed the heads on the motor and already had new pushrods for the cam. The car had been down (in the street) for 4 weeks waiting for B/O head bolts and I didn't feel like ripping everything apart again.

Quality wise looked great. I just wish I knew about the other issues before putting the heads on.

If all of these things are true, Comp will be getting a nasty letter from me wasting my time.

What year car did you try to install them on?

Comp advertises them otherwise. I even called them yesterday and they said they would work fine.

Comp said they had issues with them fitting under 97-98 valve covers (perimeter bolt) but they *should* fit under mine.

I can deal with spacers but I can't deal with removing the head to have them milled.

I had to run:
6.150 pushrods should used 6.100
The holes got slotted .150 - .200 depending on how the casting was drilled. Let me tell you I have actually installed them and don't know how many times or ways I can say THEY DON'T FIT UNDER THE STOCK VALVE COVERS. I ground the divider out, ground down the bolt bosses, cut the edges, basically gutted out the valve covers and they dont fit. Everyone promised me that they fit under the valve covers and once I found out that they didn't fit, the tech said that they made a *slight* measurement error. I guess I had a very bad experience and would never do business with this company or buy their product from another vendor.

Was that before or after the cam? Just kidding man. Thanks for the info. I'll put one side on and see if they fit. If they don't I'll shove 'em up Comp's ****.

Yes, you need spacers, and yes, you need different length pushrods. Im using 7.1s. I measured for them last night.
