Ls3 heads on a ls1?
#4
That is such a broad question with an infinite number of answers. Do research on this forum and decide for yourself. If money is no concern AFR's, TFS, TEA, and AI are very popular around here. Although if you are on a budget many many sponsors >>>>>to the left have stock casting heads that have their CNC program run on them with great results.

I suggest you do your homework. Questions like this are often answered with very offensive responses.

You can find forged stroker rotating assemblies a lot cheaper.

The MAST LS3 heads you linked to are small bore heads. They are the exception, because normally LS3 heads require at least a 4" bore. Even those heads will shroud the valves a bit on a small bore. So, there might be other choices to consider. For that price you could get Trick Flow 215, which are really nice on a LS1.

Or if you are on a tight budget, stage 2.5 ported LS6 heads.

We appreciate the references batboy! I would also recommend taking a look at our PRC 227 heads. While it is a very open ended question, these are some of the best heads we can offer for a stock cubic inch LS1.

Well that is a pretty broad question. Is your car auto or manual? Depending on the answer to that I would look at either the 224R on a 114 LSA or a 228R on a 112 LSA. These cams deliver a very broad power and and once tuned will have very good street manners.
