Default Spartan build around the corner.

Finally have all parts ordered;

LS6 oil pump
LS2 timing chain
valve seals
Trick Flow 7.450 push rods
PSI 1511ML Max life springs
Spartan spec'd 228/232 113 +3 cam
Circle D stage 1 3c stall
Dynatech headers
Dynatech X pipe
Dynatech high flow cats
Changing out the 273 for a 342
Spartan tune

Current mods;

295/40 18 NT05's on the back already
160 degree thermostat
Vortex rammer
Borla stinger cat back
Half *** tune from someone who claims to be great. Oh, that cost me $600.00

I can't wait for Spartan to work their magic. It is an 03 C5 A4.

I agree...even with my high compression 408 I am still running the stock themostat and 0 or 100 degress outside my engine temp is always between 194-198

^ thats the coldest it needs to be. Optimal operating temps should be around 200-210. That way no condensation builds up etc etc. many reasons why.

Gotta love the yellow/green slime buildup in an aluminum engine that never gets warm enough lol

Even with this thermostat the car runs about 210-217 on hot days and 195-200 on cooler days. I recently noticed some crap (grass, bugs...) in the front of the radiator. Curious to see if it runs cooler affter I clean it out.
The same company that did my &^%$# tune sold it to me and said that it should start to open a bit at 160. He also said that he tuned the fans to come on earlier. After all that I noticed no change in operating temp.

Yeah. His name is Rick. Always keep a Lawyer as a friend. 12 tickets, 0 points.

He said it will be soooo much faster. I can't wait.

It's hard to find someone that no body has anything negative to say about their skills, talent and character. I looked.

I went to the track to get 1/4 mile times so I can post before and after.

Exactly why I went to him after reading on this forum and then talking to him.
He does it right or won't do it. I was at another shop close by twice and was never happy with my tune.

After Josh's work my car runs better than it ever has. This is what you call a ''Spot on tune". Car runs like a bat out of hell. I'd recommended him to anybody.

Dropped the car off for surgery this week. Now I know what a crack head feels like. All I can think about is getting it back and what it will feel and sound like.
