a friend found me a alum. blk 5.3 engine.out of a 04 truck.a guy was going 2 junk .is 1 better than the other??? other than weight ?

One is heavier but stronger overall, the other is lighter but not as strong.

Though unless you're pushing 800+ rwhp the extra weight from the iron is not needed.
