Your options are a bit limited if you are not wanting to replace springs. We offer a budget friendly package that utilizes a single beehive spring, camshaft, and chromoly pushrods for right at 599.99. What exactly are you looking to get out of the car, and what is its primary use?

We sell a package that includes the camshaft, springs, and chromoly pushrods. If drivability is a main concern or if the car is going to spend most of its life on the street then in my opinion we have some better options for you. The MS3 and MS4 both are great choices for max effort cars with the correct mods to support them, so its really going to come down to what your looking for out of the setup. I have some customers that daily drive the MS3 and MS4 and love the way they drive, but then again you will get customers with 220 duration cams that claim they are too big. So in other words it really comes down to personal opinion.

Since I am not trying to sell you anything, I am going to say it like it is. If you don't have the extra money to buy valve springs you should NOT be modifying your car. Almost always a build ends up costing about 2x what you expect it to, and if you can't afford to do a cam setup correctly, let alone have some spare change around for a tune and all the extras that add up fast, you are better off staying stock.

Not trying to be a dick man, but I have seen MANY people end up in very bad situations because of trying stuff like this.

Go with a smaller cam, like a torquer 2 or something. You won't want to have to spin to the moon without rod bolts.

We offer this camshaft in our dual spring package for right at 779.99. This includes the camshaft of your choice, dual springs, and chromoly pushrods. There are too many variables to give you a number that your specific car will make on someones dyno, but I can tell you with our MS4 we typically see gains of 65+ rwhp. Keep in mind this is a max effort camshaft.

^Agreed the 233/239 camshaft is pretty aggressive camshaft but still retains nice drivabilitly with a proper tune along with a nice broad range of power. Plenty of customers out there going pretty quick with this cam. I recommend with our PRC .650 dual spring kit for this cam which is priced a little bit cheaper than the package we spoke about for the MS4. This package is priced at 729.99.

dont get hung up on the big numbers the cams make. these are MAX effort cams like stated above. you need a nice cam that produces under the curve. the ms cams are very big cams. a 228r or 233/239 on a 112* will thump hard and perform great. there are a lot of guys out there that have smaller cams making more power and going faster than the big cam guys. thing is that big cams dont work all that great with stock heads and intakes. it take all the supporting mods to get full advantage of the big cams. and if you dont have the funds to buy springs then im sure the other mods will be much harder to buy. also keep in mind that with a bigger cam you will have to replace springs every 15-20k miles.
